Christian Dior have used three original works by Faten Kanaan in their recent Autumn/Winter 2034/24 show in Paris. Live streamed globally on February 28th from the Jardin des Tuileries, the show was inspired by iconic French singers Edith Piaf and Juliette Greco as well as resistance fighter and recipient of the Legion D’Honneur, Catherine Dior, brother of the fashion houses’ founder Christian.
With music curated by the fashion world’s leading sound director Michel Gaubert, the show’s enigmatic setting was a stunning backdrop for Faten’s expressive and cinematic work. The three pieces used, ‘Trenchcoat’, ‘Florin Court’ and ‘Fin Aout, Debut Septembre’, all taken from Faten’s fifth album, ‘Afterpoem’, provided the perfect accompaniment to the visually enchanting event.
