Three legendary acts from Fire featured in Pitchfork this month. Television Personalities, The Chills and Throwing Muses all seen heralded for new and upcoming releases.
New radio sessions compilation ‘Tune In, Turn On, Drop Out – Radio Sessions 1980-1993’ from Television Personalities scores big with an 8.0 from Pitchfork‘s Ben Cardew. A new collection featuring two 80s BBC sessions that aired on John Peel and Andy Kershaw, along with a super rare 1992 WMBR set. This double LP features covers of Buzzcocks, The Raincoats and Daniel Johnston with previously unreleased songs and a bonus download WFMU session from 1993.

Also featured; The Chills posthumously released ‘Spring Board: The Early Unrecorded Songs’ out 28th February, compiles reimaginings of early unrecorded songs from Dunedin sound legend Martin Phillipps.

That work of re-imagination, ‘Spring Board: The Early Unrecorded Songs’, is now ready for release.
Additionally legendary Kristin Hersh led Throwing Muses have announced their new album: ‘Moonlight Concessions’ landing March 14th. The follow-up to 2020’s ‘Sun Racket’ was produced by Kristin Hersh and recorded at Steve Rizzo’s Stable Sound Studio in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. Throwing Muses latest single ‘Summer of Love’ is out now
