With a hint of Ari Up styled vocals backed by a harmonious chorus of concern touching on everything from incantations, essential causes and systematic shopping, all underpinned by a raking violin and bewitching electronic hum.
Mixed by Capitol K at Total Refreshment Centre, ‘Baby U Know’ is a lyrical miasma examining the collapse of modern Britain from a group who have served time with Jarv Is, Meilyr Jones, The Elysian Quartet, Trash Kit and Rozi Plain among others.
Bas Jan is the vehicle for well-established musicians Serafina Steer, Emma Smith, Charlie Stock and percussionist Rachel Horwood.
