Rough Trade have revealed their selection of Best Albums Of The Year and we’re pleased to see Jane Weaver’s acclaimed album ‘Flock’ (Rough Trade Album Of The Month back in March), Vanishing Twin’s astonishing album ‘Ookii Gekkou’ (Rough Trade Edit picks) and Marina Allen’s debut ‘Candlepower’ (also on Rough Trade Edit picks).
#7 Jane Weaver – Flock
Following the release of Jane Weaver’s acclaimed new album released this summer, Rough Trade announce her impeccable chart topping album ‘Flock’ as one of their top 10 Albums Of The Year! To celebrate reaching #7 (..out of 100!) on the list, there will be two limited edition exclusives – ‘Flock’ will be available on violet vinyl and the recent ‘Sunset Dreams’ EP that features remixes, extended versions and two new songs from the ‘Flock’ sessions get it’s first release on white vinyl.
#25 Vanishing Twin – Ookii Gekkou
Released just four weeks ago and now #25 on their EOY list, Vanishing Twin’s critically acclaimed new album ‘Ookii Gekkou’ sees the psychedelic pop group bring more Afrofunk and Arkestra-style jazz to their sound. Currently touring across Europe after a successful UK run, they head to the US for an extensive tour in Spring 2021.
